A Wellcome Trust Thank you
Congratulations to Abdul Conteh and Charlie Robery for receiving thanks from the Wellcome Trust!
Adbul Conteh, Office Logistics Officer who received a thank you from the Wellcome Trust Global Policy & Advocacy team coordinator and was issued John Lewis Recognition Voucher. Here is what he said about Abdul’s above and beyond efforts to drive a Wellcome Trust van while the dedicated driver was away:
‘We held a summer reception at Westminster Palace where we exhibited a selection of photographs from the Wellcome Photography Prize and Wellcome Trust Director and Norman Lamb MP both gave speeches on the UK’s role in global health emergencies. The event would not have been possible without Abdul.
‘Due to the tight security around the Palace, there were extremely strict procedures and deadlines to follow. This was a long, tiring and stressful day for us all, but I was so impressed with Abdul’s work ethic; he stayed positive and made me feel calm and reassured throughout. He was great company for the day.
We think Abdul absolutely went above and beyond in doing this job for us, and we are extremely grateful to him.’
Charlie Robery, Office Logistics Supervisor also received a thank you from the Wellcome Collection Conservation and Collection Care Manager and was also issued John Lewis Recognition Voucher. Charlie was awarded for the support and assistance of his team to x-ray scan some valuable objects from the collections. They were delighted to receive the excellent service from Charlie and his team who were very willing to show Conservations team what the machine could do and assist them in the future. It was agreed to continue this collaboration going forward and support Conservations team on screening sensitive collections objects ensuring building and collections security.
Well done to both Abdul and Charlie, this is a great achievement!
