Brexit Managers Update

Dear Managers, 
As part of the ongoing communications regarding Brexit, our EEA Nationals have been sent another reminder via their ESS accounts that the deadline for applications to the EU Settlement Scheme is 30 June 2021 
They have again been signposted to the supporting documentation that has previously been published.  
As a Manager what do I need to do now?  
As you know we have created a permanent reference page for the latest Brexit information from WJ. Please check out the resources available to support you and your team:  
– Guidance documents to walk you and your teams through the process of sharing their status with you  
– Posters to use on your notice boards for constant reminders 
– EU Settlement Scheme FAQs 
– Updated video    
Please make sure that this is continuously on your agenda for the next 3 months. Regularly talk about it with your team in a supportive way, signposting them to the resources and support available.  
Wilson James do not need to check that their current EEA employees have applied for status under the EU Settlement Scheme and can rely on their existing right to work check. It is however in the employees’ interest to apply as this is an important step towards them retaining the benefits afforded to them as residents of the UK.   
If they wish to share their status with WJ, please support them to do this. The more visibility we have on the number of people who have applied, the easier for us to update our records, but please do not suggest that it is mandatory for them to do so.
