I am writing with two fleet updates which could impact Wilson James operations.
E10 petrol introduction
The government recently introduced petrol grade E10 to the pumps across Great Britain. By blending petrol with 10% renewable ethanol, less fossil fuel is needed which will help to reduce carbon emissions to meet climate change standards. Detailed information on the subject can be found here.
E10 petrol will be marked at the pumps and will sit next to normal E5 petrol, but E10 petrol is not compatible with all vehicles, especially the ones manufactured before 2010; so it could potentially damage your vehicle if used incorrectly. To check to see if your vehicle is compatible with E10 Petrol, please see this link.
Ultra Low Emission Zone extension
From 25 October 2021, the Ultra Low Emission Zone is expanding from central London up to, but not including, the North Circular (A406) and South Circular (A205) roads. Please follow this link to view a map of the ULEZ expansion area in order to prepare for any future journeys.
To prepare for this change, please click here to ensure your vehicle meets the ULEZ standards and there will be no charge for using the zone.
The ULEZ will be in operation for 24 hours a day, seven days a week except Christmas Day.
