Following the ‘Step Forward to end Homelessness’ challenge throughout March, we’re delighted to invite you to participate in fundraising events hosted by and in aid of our charity partner, Crisis.
1. Grow for Crisis
Whether you have a garden, a window box or a couple of pots, no space is too small to start growing. Veg, herbs, flowers and everything in between all count!
The challenge: Choose from one of the ideas below or come up with your own:
- Take on a sponsored, green-fingered challenge, such as growing the most tomatoes or the tallest sunflower within a set period of time.
- Speak to us about hosting a virtual gardening lesson to share your skills with the business.
Join in: To take part in the Grow for Crisis challenge, simply register your interest here and we’ll be in touch with more information.
2. Stay awake for 24 hours with Crisis
Stay awake for 24 hours and fundraise for the tens of thousands of families and individuals who do it night after night. Whether you go it alone or do it with your family, colleagues or a group of friends (virtually of course!), we have lots of ideas for how you can use your 24 hours to fundraise – just ask!
When: Join in over the May Bank Holiday, or choose a date that suits you.

3. Sponsor the WJ Facebook team
On the weekend of 22-23 May 2021, a team from Wilson James at Facebook will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to raise money for Crisis. The Yorkshire Three Peaks ascends the three highest peaks in Yorkshire (Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Inglebrough), taking in over 5000ft of ascent/descent over a distance of roughly 26 miles. You can donate to the team and help them reach their £5000 target here.
The team will also be holding a charity raffle with some fantastic prizes including a massage, a skydive and a designer watch – more details coming soon.
Wilson James will make a contribution to supplement sponsorship raised.
We hope as many of you as possible will join or contribute towards these exciting challenges.
