HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

13th April 2021

Dear colleagues,

We are sure you will have been saddened to hear the news of the death of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh on Friday. We thought you would like to know that we have written to The Queen to offer her and the Royal Family the profound condolences of everyone at Wilson James.

You may have seen some of the media coverage which has reminded us all of the remarkable contribution that Prince Philip has made to our national life and of course to the Queen. The coverage also reminds us of his approach to life – positive, serving others, often amusing – all part of an example that is as relevant to us in our challenges today as in his long life and which connects so well with our own values at Wilson James. The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award which helps so many young people discover a sense of service, duty and purpose will be part of Prince Philip’s enduring legacy – we can all be especially proud that Wilson James has been a supporter of the Award scheme for many years.

In the meantime, thank you for your continued support every day in our work. It makes a difference to others. We are seeing progress with the COVID situation and we will keep in touch with you as the situation develops.

Best wishes to you and your families and friends,

Mark Dobson & Gary Sullivan OBE
