Wilson James focuses on ethical employment at every stage of the employee life cycle. From our inclusive recruitment processes, to ongoing support and training for existing employees, we ensure a fair and honest people approach. Workplace wellbeing is a priority across all Wilson James offices and sites and we foster a culture that values personality and diversity.

Wilson James provides a safe and secure workplace which is conducive to the health, safety and wellbeing of employees. Our dedicated health and safety team support more than 5,000 employees and 6 safety commitments ensure that high standards are maintained at all times. A healthy work-life balance is encouraged and employees are signposted to approved resources which can help them with stress, anxiety and other mental health concerns.

The Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) also provides support to Wilson James employees. EAP is a confidential telephone helpline available 24/7 where an employee can discuss personal/work related matters.

We ensure that our workplace values diversity and that there are equal opportunities for all. True equality and inclusion in the workplace means people are respected and allowed to be themselves, free from discrimination, harassment and victimisation. The Wilson James Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy has 3 key areas for a more targeted approach. The key deliverables are:

  • Responsibility and accountability
  • Embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Staff have a voice with Wilson James

Wilson James supports employees with learning and development opportunities to help them reach their potential. We want employees to be well-equipped and feel confident in carrying out their role, as well as develop skills to allow for career advancement and personal progression. The learning and development offering includes instructor-led training, e-learning, online courses, videos and articles.
